A Second Story

It all started when their eyes met over a drawn dagger

After meeting as part of a group of adventurers meant to track down the notorious royal assassin, the Shade, Arileas Damaris and Finnean Goldmark begin a life together. They travel around the realm staying out of the eyes of King Tenan, doing odd jobs, and, of course, falling in love. After nearly a year, they decide to take a vacation in a coastal town called Arrowmount, where the sea and sun are warm and inviting, and the townsfolk live easy lives.

Once there, they fall in love with the place and its people. Ari and Finn take a leap, putting aside old worries and titles, and extend their vacation indefinitely. They buy up the local bookstore, Arrowmount Books, and start a new life amidst the sun-soaked cobblestones.

But, from water damage and renovations to Finn's old life haunting them, life in Arrowmount is not quite as calm as they thought it would be. And yet, with some help from the locals, Ari and Finn might just find their place along the seaside.

A Little Luck

East-ward I lived, near the waves glimmerin’ gold, Singing for my people, the stories and tales of old….
After the biggest job of her life goes sideways, magical artifact thief Lottie Luck is out of, well, luck. With no job on the horizon and only the clothes on her back, she makes a snap decision to head to Arrowmount, where her estranged sister lives, to regroup and figure out where she’s going next.
Kirandir Dulra, a favored Arrowmount town bard, is happy enough with the way her life is. By day, she’s a dishwasher for the local bar, and by night she performs for the regular townsfolk who frequent the Old’n Narrow. The routine works, but she dreams of more: a life in arcane lights with crowds calling her name.
However, everything is turned upside down when these two strangers get thrown together to organize the entertainment for an upcoming festival as emergency replacements one month out.
As the two try and find a rhythm together, Lottie unearths truths about herself and Kir’s dream starts to become more realistic. In a story full of chilly autumnal nights and the golden glow of lantern light, these two women might just find more in each other than they bargained for.

Contemporary Romance Books

Merry and Bright

Indulge in this bite-sized and cinnamon filled sapphic holiday romance between two friends stuck in a bookstore overnight
Margot Merry is prepping for a quiet, lonely Christmas without her grandmother to keep her company - Grandma Rudy has retired down south, leaving Margot to run her bookstore Rudy’s. As a huge winter storm settles in outside, Margot’s holiday plans consist of shutting her bookstore up tight, heading home, and curling up with a large book (or a few) to get through the days.

As the storm creeps closer, Jack Bright’s holiday plans are ruined as all planes are grounded. Dejected and sad at missing out on her usual family-filled Christmas, Jack’s only plans are now eating left over baked goods from her bakery and hanging out with her staffy, Loaf.

On Christmas Eve eve, Margot is just about to close up for the night when she discovers a leak from the cafe above putting her antique book collection in danger; Jack stops by on her way home, and the two of them try to rescue the books. After breaking into the cafe and stopping the leak, Jack and Margot are plunged into darkness as the storm escalates outside, trapping them without power in the bookstore overnight.

The two of them settle in for a night of old holiday music, childhood stories, building snowmen, and perhaps finding a little bit of Christmas magic of their own.
